Solutions Beyond Shelter
Tippecanoe County has been hard at work on addressing the issues of homelessness in our community. A Core Group was formed to conduct a thorough, thoughtful and intentional exploration of implementation strategies to prevent and end homelessness. A Charrette was conducted by Corporation for Supportive Housing (CSH) and began with community meetings to narrow down key issue areas around homelessness in Tippecanoe County and the surrounding areas. Once the key areas had been selected an intense week long Charrette process ensued as a method to analyze, discern and make difficult decisions about moving forward on complicated and complex issues. The meetings were open to the public and all input and recommendations from community members when into the final recommendations from Corporation for Supportive Housing. This Solutions Beyond Shelter plan is being used to create implementation strategies on ways to address, prevent, and end homelessness in our community.

National Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week
Each year HPIN participates in National Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week that takes place the third week in November. Different events take place throughout the week to increase awareness around hunger and homelessness is our community.
